A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA APPROPRIATING FISCAL YEAR 1987-88 FUNDS TO GANN
RESERVE ACCOUNTS
WHEREAS, under the provislons of Artlcle XIIIB of the California
Constitutlon, a Clty is authorized to appropriate to a Gann reserve account
the dlfference between actual spendlng subJect to the Gann Appropnatlons
Llmlt and the City's Gann Approprlations Limlt for that flscal year; and
WHEREAS, appropri at i ng ava il abl e funds to Gann reserve accounts is
in the public interest because establishment of Gann reserve accounts
lncreases the ability of the City Councll to respond to the serVlce needs of
the citlzens of the City of Santa Monica,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. All Fiscal Year 1987-88 General Fund and Recreation and
Parks Facllities Fund appropriations and revenue estlmates, excluslve of
Federal or State grant approprlations and revenue estlmates, shall be adJusted
to actuals as determined by the City's annual financial audit as set forth in
the City's Fiscal Year 1987-88 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, and the
difference between the lesser of $4,710,336 or actual expenditures and
encumbrances subJect to limitation as determlned by the Clty'S annual
flnanclal audit as set forth in the Clty'S Fiscal Year 1987-88 Comprehensive

Annual Flnanclal Report for these Funds and the Clty'S Fiscal Year 1987-88
Gann Appropriations Limit, to the extent funds are available, is hereby
approprlated to reserve accounts ln these respective Funds.
SECTION 2. The Ci ty Cl erk sha 11 cert 1 fy to the adoption of thi s
Resolutlon, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and
effect.
