A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA SETTING THE FEE FOR DEPOSIT OF REFUSE
BY LICENSED PRIVATE REFUSE HAULERS AT THE CITY'S
TRANSFER STATION
WHEREAS, Munlclpal Code Section 5223 (a) allows fees for
deposit1ng refuse at the City refuse transfer stat10n to be set by
Resolution; and
WHEREAS, the D1rector of General Services may determ1ne
whether licensed pr1vate refuse haulers primarlly servlng Santa Mon1ca
bus1nesses may use sa1d transfer statlon; and
WHEREAS, the Solid Waste Management Superintendent determ1nes
daily whether said transfer statlon may be used by licensed private haulers
and bases thlS decision on avallable capaclty and the order 1n which
requests are received,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS'
SECTION 1. The fee for llcensed pnvate refuse haulers to
deposit refuse at the City refuse transfer statlon shall be Thirty-Elght
Do 11 ars
($38.00 ) per ton.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall cert1fy to the adoptlon of
this Resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be 1n full
force and effect.
