DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION FOR THE INSTALLATION, OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF A ROTATING BEAM CEILOMETER AND A RUNWAY END IDENTIFIER LIGHT SYSTEM AT SANTA MONICA AIRPORT. WHEREAS, the United States of America, U. S. Department of Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration and the City of Santa Monica agree that the installation, operation and maintenance of a Rotating Beam Ceilometer (R.B.C.) and a Runway End Identifier Light (R.E.I.L.) system will enhance the safety of aircraft operation at and near Santa Monica Airport; and, WHEREAS, the continuing availability of these systems is essential to the operation of Santa Monica Airport, NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The Ci ty Council approves Lease No. DTFA08-89-L-12832 and authorizes the City Manager as agent of the city to execute all documents pursuant to the lease agreement. - 1 - . . SECTION 2.
