A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA MONICA REVISING THE GANN
APPROPRIATIONS LIMIT FOR THE FISCAL YEAR
1989-90
WHEREAS, the City Council under the provisions of
Government Code Section 7910 and Article XIIIB of the California
Constitution established its appropriations limit by resolution
for fiscal year 1989-90 on June 27, 1989: and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to revise the fiscal year
1989-90 appropriations limit to recognize the cumulative effects
of additional tax proceeds received by the City in the Gann Limit
calculation base year of FY1978/79; and
WHEREAS, documentation used in the determination of the
appropriations limit revision has been available to the public
for fifteen days prior to this meeting as required by Government
Code Section 7910,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
For purposes of Article XIIIB of the
California Constitution, the city of Santa Monica appropriations
limit for the fiscal year 1989-90 shall be revised to be
$60,853,509.

same shall be in full force and effect.
