RESOLUTION NO. 6676(CC5)

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA MONICA ORDERING THE CONSTRUCTION OF
CONCRETE SIDEWALKS ON THE EAST SIDE OF NEILSEN
WAY BETWEEN PICa BOULEVARD AND BAY STREET AND
BICKNELL AVENUE AND STRAND STREET, All WITHIN
THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Monica,
on the 22nd day of March, 1983, adopted Resolutlon No. 6647 (CCS)
setting a public hearing;
WHEREAS, wrltten notlces of said lmprovement have been
glven ln the manner required by law; and
WHEREAS, any and all written obJections and protests to
the work or extent of the distrlct to be assessed were heard and
consldered by the Clty Councll;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That the publlC convenlence and necessity
requires the constructlon of concrete sidewalks on the east side
of Nellsen Way between P1CO Boulevard and Bay Street and Bicknell
Avenue and Strand Street, all withln the Clty of Santa Monica.
SECTION 2.
That all protests and objectlons of every
klnd and nature to the constructlon of concrete sidewalks on the
east side of Neilsen Way between Pico Boulevard and Bay Street and
Blcknell Avenue and Strand Street, all within the City of Santa
Monica, be and the same are hereby overruled and denied.
SECTION 3.
That pursuant to Streets and Hlghways Code
Sectlon 5880, the Street Superintendent is directed to commence
the construction of concrete sidewalks above described after a

60-day period wherever the property owners have not started the
sidewalk constructlon.
SECTION 4.
That the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of thlS resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect
