A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF A PROPOSAL AND THE
SIGNING OF A CONTRACT FOR PROVIDING SERVICES FOR
ELDERLY PERSONS.
WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles Department of Sen10r C1t1zens
Affalrs h~s been awarded the funds for prov1d1ng serV1ces for the elderly
under the Older Amer1cans Act;
WHEREAS, the C1ty of Santa Mon1ca w1shes to apply for Older
Amerlcans Act funds for soclal serV1ces 1n order to admin1ster sa1d serVlces; and
WHEREAS, 1t 1S necessary that the City of Santa Mon1ca approve
the subm1ttal of the proposal for Older Amer1cans Act funds; and
WHEREAS, 1t 1S necessary that the C1ty of Santa Monlca des1gnate
and authorlze a representat1ve to s19n the contract for Older Amerlcans
Act funds on behalf of the sa1d C1ty of Santa Mon1ca,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS.
SECTION 1. The C1ty Counc,l of the C1ty of Santa Monlca approves
the submlttal of a proposal for Older Amerlcans Act funds.
SECTION 2. The City Councll of the C1ty of Santa Mon1ca des1gnates
the C1ty Manager or 1n h1S absence, the Asslstant Clty Manager as the author1zed
representat1ve to slgn the contract and all documents necessary to accompany
sa1d contract, lnclud1ng all amendments to sa1d contract w1th1n the f1scal
year.
SECTION 3 The C1ty Clerk shall certify to the adopt1on of
this Resolut1on, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be 1n full
force and effect.
