A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA AUTHORIZING THE ESTABLISHMENT, USE AND INVESTMENT
OF ONE OR MORE DEPOSIT ACCOUNTS WITH CERTAIN BANKS AND
SAVINGS AND LOAN ASSOCIATIONS: AUTHORIZING FACSIMILE
SIGNATURES BY CHARLES M. DENNIS AND KAY WATANABE; AND
AUTHORIZING CERTAIN OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES TO ENTER SAFE
DEPOSIT BOX "B" AT THE FIRST INTERESTATE BANK
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the C~ty of Santa Monlca, a municipal
corporation, establishes ln its name one or more depos~t accounts with
the All~ance Bank of Culver C~ty, Amerlcan City Bank, American Pacific
State Bank, Bank of America Nat~onal Trust and Savings Assoclation, Bank
of Beverly Hllls, Bank of Marlna del Rey, Brentwood Bank, Californ~a F~rst
Bank, Callfornia Korea Bank, Century Bank, City National Bank, Chase
Manhattan Bank, New York, New York, Crocker National Bank, Flrst Paclflc
Bank, First Women's Bank of Callfornia, French Bank of Californ~a, Golden
state Sanwa Bank, Imperlal Bank, Lloyds Bank of California, Manufacturers
Bank, Republic Bank, Santa Manlca Bank, security PaClflC Natlonal Bank,
Sumitomo Bank of Callfornia, Union Bank, First Interstate Bank, Wells
Fargo Bank, and Western Bank of Commerce upon such terms and condltlons
as are provided by the Statutes of the State of Californla governlng
publ~c deposits: and that Charles M. Dennls, Dlrector of Flnance/C~ty
Controller, and Kay Watanabe, Clty Treasurer, be and they hereby are
authorlzed by establlshing such accounts.
SECTION 2. That the City of Santa Monica, a municipal corporat~on,
establlshes In lts name one or more deposit accounts with Amer~can Sav~ngs
and Loan Associatlon, Beverly EllIs Savings and Loan Associatlon, Brentwood
Savlngs and Loan ASSOclation, Callfornia Federal Savlngs and Loan, Century
Federal Savings and Loan Associatlon, Citizens Savings and Loan Associatlon,
Coast Federal Savings and Loan Associatlon, Culver Federal Savlngs and
Loan Associatlon, Far West Savlngs and Loan Assoc~atlon, First Federal
Savlngs and Loan ASSoclation, Gibraltar Savlngs and Loan Associatlon,

the statutes of the state of Californla governing publlC deposits; and
that Charles M. Dennis, Director of Flnance/City Controller, and Kay
Watanabe, Clty Treasurer, be and they hereby are authorized by establlshlng
such accounts.
SECTION 3, That Charles M. Dennis, Director of Finance/City
Controller, and Kay Watanabe, City Treasurer, be and they hereby are
authorized to wlthdraw funds from said accounts upon warrants and/or
checks slgned as provlded herein wlth signatures duly certifled to sald
banks by the City Clerk of the Clty of Santa Monlca, and said banks are
hereby authorized to honor and pay any and all warrants and/or checks
SLgned, including those drawn to the lndividual order or any offlcer or
other person authorlzed to slgn the same.
SECTION 4. ?hat the Santa ~1onica offlce of the
Santa Monlca Bank, First Interstate Bank, the Bank of America National
Trust and Savlngs Assoclatlon, as designated deposltorles of the Clty, be
and they, lncludlng thelr correspondent banks, hereby are requested,
authorlzed, and dlrected to honor all checks, drafts, or other orders
for the payment of money drawn to the lndlvldual order of any person or
persons whose names appear thereon as signer or slgners thereof, when
bearing or purportlng to bear the facslmile signatures of Charles M. Dennis
and Kay Watanabe ln lleu of sald person's manual signature; provlded
that all previous authorizatLons for the signing and honoring of checks,
drafts, or other orders for the payment of money drawn on sald banks by
the City hereby are continued ln full force and effect as amplified hereby.

SECTION 5. That the Clty of Santa Monlca, a munlcipal
corporatlon, has rented safe deposit box "B" at the First Interstate
Bank, and that Charles M. Dennls, Director of Flnance/Clty Controller,
or Kay Watanabe, Clty Treasurer, jointly wlth J. L. Wl1bur, License and
Permlt Supervlsor, or Esmeralda Kelley, be and they are hereby
authorlzed to enter said safe depsolt box.
SECTION 6.
effectlve May 6, 1983.
Resolutlons ln confllct
The provlslons of this Resolutlon shall be
Resolution Number 6533 (CCS) and all other
herewlth are repealed effective May 6, 1983.
SECTION 7. The Clty Clerk shall certlfy to the adoptlon
of thlS Resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be
in full force and effect.
