A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA MONICA SETTING A HEARING DATE FOR
ANY PROTESTS OR OBJECTIONS TO REVISIONS OF
THE TOXIC CHEMICAL DISCLOSURE FORM
WHEREAS, the C1ty Council on November 3~ 1981, adopted
Ordinance No. 1232 (CCS), add1ng Chapter 3 to Article VI of the
Santa Monica Municipal Code, establ1sh1ng procedures for persons
and entitles that handle~ store, use, process or dispose of toxic
chemicals, rad1oact1ve materials, and hazardous and extremely
hazardous wastes in the C1ty to disclose the identity of those
substances; and
WHEREAS,
Section
5302B,
of the above mentioned
ordinance states that the TOX1C Chemical D1sclosure Form shall be
adopted and from t1me to t1me amended or rev1sed by resolution of
the C1ty Council following public hear1ng; and
WHEREAS, certa1n changes to the 1983 Toxic Chemical
D1sclosure are necessary.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That said City Council proposes to in1tiate
proceedings for the rev1sion of the Toxic Chemical Disclosure
Form.
SECTION 2. That notice is hereby given that on Tuesday
the 14th day of June~ 1983, at 7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers
located in the City Hall, 1685 Main Street~ Santa Monica,
California, there shall be a publlC hearing before sald City

Council for the purpose of determ1ning proposed revislons to the
1983 Toxic Chemical D1sclosure Form.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to
publish this resolution in the Evening Outlook on two successive
dates, the first publication to be made not less than ten (10)
days pr10r to the date of the above public hearing.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall cert1fy to the
adoption of th1S Resolut1on, and thenceforth and thereafter the
same shall be ; n full force and effect.
