A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA MONICA ORDERING THE CONSTRUCTION OF
CONCRETE GUTTERS AND STREET RESURFACING ON
SIXTEENTH STREET BETWEEN COLORADO AVENUE AND
50' SOUTH OF THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC RAILROAD,
ALL WITHIN THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA.
WHEREAS, the City Counc1l of the City of Santa Mon1ca,
on the 10th day of May, 1983, adopted Resolut1on No. 6681 (CCS)
setting a pUblic hearing;
WHEREAS, written notices of said improvement have been
glven 1n the manner requ1red by law; and
WHEREAS, any and all wr1tten objections and protests to
the work or the extent of the district to be assessed were heard
and considered by the City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That the public convenience and necessity
requ1res
the
constructlon
of concrete gutters and street
resurfacing along Sixteenth Street between Colorado Avenue and 50'
south of the Southern Pac1flc Ra1lroad, all within the City of
Santa Monica.
SECTION 2.
That all protests and objections of every
kind and nature to the constructlon of concrete gutters and the
street resurfacing along Sixteenth Street as described in Section
1, all within the City of Santa Monica, be and the same are hereby
overruled and den1ed.

SECTION 3. That pursuant to Streets and Highways Code
Section 5880, the Street Superintendent is d1rected to commence
the construction of concrete gutters and street resurfacing above
described after a 60-day period wherever the property owners have
not started the gutter construction and street resurfacing
themselves.
SECTION 4.
That the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of th1s resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the
same shall be 1n full force and effect.
