RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA CERTIFYING
THE FINAL ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT
ON THE DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY
OF SANTA MONICA AND ROMAN PROPERTIES
WHEREAS, applicatlon for a Development Agreement for a 134-
room addition to the "Inn at Santa Monica", 530 Pico Boulevard was
made on September 20, 1982: and
WHEREAS, an In1tial Study was prepared on the proposed project
in March 1983: and
WHEREAS, Notice of Completlon of a Draft Envlronmental I~pdct
Report was published in May 1983, ln compllance with the Californla
Environmental Quality Act; and
WHEREAS, a public review per~od expired in June 1983; and
WHEREAS, on June .13, 1983, Kenyon Webster, Assistant Planner,
certified completion of the Final Environmental Impact Report on
the proposed project, conslstlng of the Draft Environmental Impact
Report, comments on the document, and responses to comments; and

WHEREAS, on June 13, 1983, the Plannlng Commission reviewed the
flnal Envlronmental Impact Report and made recommendations on the
proJect; and
WHEREAS, on June 14, 1983, the City Council conducted a
publically notlced hearlng on the Flnal Environmental Impact Report
and the proposed Development Agreement,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. The City Counc1l of the Clty of Santa Monica
does hereby certify that the final Environmental Impact Report
on the proposed Development Agreement has been completed in full
compliance wlth the Callfornia Environmental Quality Act, the
State Envlronmental Impact Report Guidel~nes, and the City of
Santa Monica CEQA Guidellnes and that it has reviewed and con-
sidered the contents of the Flnal EIR ln its decis~on maklng process.
In conJunction wlth this certiflcatlon, the City Council finds
as follows:
a. The Final Environmental Impact Report has identified no
significant effects on the envlronment, as deflned 1n Title 14,
Callfornia Adminlstrative Code, Sectlon 15040, that will result
from the approval of the proposed development.
b. Based upon this determlnation, it lS not necessary to
make any of the findings set forth in Public Resources Code Section
21081 and Title 14, Californla Administrative Code, Section l5088.
SECTION 2. The Clty Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be
in full force and effect.
