A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SASTA MONICA APPROVING THE BUDGET FOR
THE FISCAL YEAR 1983-I984, AS AMENDED
WHEREAS, the proposed budget for the fiscal year
1983-1984 was submitted to the C1ty Council thirty-flve (35) days
prior to July 1, 1983: and
WHEREAS, the C1ty Council held a public hearing on sa1d
budget after a notice of said budget hear1ng was publ1shed not
less than ten (IO) days prior thereto; and
WHEREAS, after sald public hearing, the City Councl1
considered further its proposed budget:
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That the budget for the fiscal year
1983-84 as submitted by the City Manager and revised by the City
Councll WhlCh budget 1S entitled "City of Santa Monica, Proposed
Budget, Executive Sumwary, 1983-1984", a copy of which budget is
attached hereto, is hereby approved and adopted. In adopting
sald budget, the City Council intends to and by this Section does
adopt and approve the total operat1ng appropriation, conslsting
of Salaries and Wages, Supplies and Expense, and Capital maJor
expenditure category for each departmental and non-departmental

budget, the capltal 1mprovements budget, and the revenue deta11,
and does authorize the C1ty Manager to allot by major expenditure
category as appropr1ated.
SECTION 2.
That in adopting said budget, the City
Councl1 does hereby reauthorlze and approve the 1982-83 Cap1tal
Improvements Budget.
SECTION 3.
That a certif1ed copy of said budget be
f11ed with the D1rector of F1nance/City Controller and w1th the
City Clerk and cert1fied cop1es of said budget be reproduced and
made available for use as d1rected by Sectlon 1505 of the Charter
of said C1ty.
SECTION 4.
The C1ty Clerk shall cert1fy to the
adoptlon of this resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
