RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
APPROVING COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS FOR 1983-84
WHEREAS, the Clty of Santa Monlca deslres to undertake
a Communlty Development Program ln Fiscal Year 1983-84 to meet
the communlty development needs of the City's resldents; and
WHEREAS, public hearlngs were held to receive comments
on communlty development and houslng needs and on the proposed
Community Development Plan;
WHEREAS, the proposed Communlty Development Plan contalns
recommendations for spec1flc Community and Neighborhood Improvements
proJects and Community Service ProJects to be approved by the City
Councl1 prior to implementation of the 1983-84 program.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Clty Councl1 of the City of Santa Monica
approves the specific proJects and fundlng amounts as indlcated
ln the proposed 1983-84 Communlty Development Plan.
SECTION 2. The City Council approprlates the necessary
funds from aval1able Communlty Development Block Grant, General
Revenue Sharlng and Clty General Funds, as well as miscellaneous
funds from other sources, as speclfled in the proposed Communlty
Development Plan.
SECTION 3. The City Manager is authorlzed on behalf of
the Clty Council to negotlate contracts with all grantees speclfied
ln the Community Development Plan to lmplement Communlty Development
P~QJects pr~or to f~nal appro~al of the contracts by City Co~ncll.

SECTION 4. All Council approved proJects and funding
approprlatlons adopted shall be included In the 1983-84 City
Budget.
SECTION 5. The Clty Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of thlS Resolut10n, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall
be ln full force and effect.
