RESOLUTION NO. 6712(CCS)

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA MONICA SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR
ANY PROTESTS OR OBJECTIONS TO THE
CONFIRMATION OF ASSESSMENTS FOR STREET
LIGHTING ON VARIOUS STREETS, ALL WITHIN THE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That the Superintendent of Streets will
file a report of work pursuant to Section 5882 of the Streets and
Hlghways Code of the State of California, relating to the
installation of street lighting completed on: 25th Street from
Pearl to Ocean Park, Euclid between Brentwood Terrace and
Georgina, 12th Street between Marguerita and A1ta and Berkeley
between Montana and Wl1shire, all within the City of Santa
Monlca.
SECTION 2. That pursuant to Section 5870, et seq. of
said Code, the Clty Council does hereby order and declare that on
the 26th day of July, 1983, in the Council Chambers of the Clty
Hall, it wl1l hear and pass upon any and all obJections or
protests to the report of work of the Superintendent of Streets,
and the amount of the assessment assigned against the real
property described in said report.
SECTION 3. That all protests or objections must be in
writing and fl1ed with the City Clerk on or before the tlme set
for hearing of protests and objections.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk is hereby directed to mail
notices. in the manner and form prescribed by law, of the

adoption of this resolution to all persons owning real property
in the hereinbefore described assessment district whose names and
addresses appear on the last equalized assessment roll for City
taxes or as known to the City Clerk.
SECTION 5.
The Clty Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this resolutlon, and thenceforth and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
