A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA MONICA AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO EXECUTE A MEr10RANDUH OF UNDERSTANDING
BETIiEEN THE CITY OF SANTA UONICA AND THE
LIBRARY NON-PROFESSIONALS, AFSCME LOCAL 1634
YiHEREAS, Section 2.06 of Ordinance 801 (CCS) of the Clty of
Santa Monlca requlres preparation of a wrltten memorandum of
understanding between the admlnlstratlon and employees lf an
agreement can be reached; and

San ta nonl.ca fur ther provides tha t any such memorandum of
unders tand ing shall no t be blnding unless and un til presen ted to
the governing body for determination; and

1: The CIty CouncIl does hereby approve and
au thorize
the
C 1 ty nanager to execu te the memorandum of
understandlng executed by the LIBRARY NON-PROFESSIONALS, AFSCME
LOCAL 1634, a copy of WhICh IS attached hereto.
SECTION 2: The C 1 ty Clerk shall cer tl fy to the adop tl.on of
this ResolutIon and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be
in full force and effect.
