A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA MONICA AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO EXECUTE A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
BETWEEN THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA AND THE
UNITED TRANSPORTATION UNION, LOCAL 1785
~mEREAS, Sect10n 2.06 of Ord1nance 801 (CCS) of the Clty of
Santa Monica requlres preparation of a written memorandum of
understandlng between the adminlstrat10n and employees if an
agreement can be reached; and
WHEREAS, Sectlon 2.06 of Ordlnance 801 (CCS) of the Clty of
Santa Monlca further provldes that any such memorandum of
unders tand1ng shall no t be bindlng unless and un tl1 presen ted to
the govern1ng body for determination; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of thIS memorandum of understandlng 15
to promote and provlde harmonious relatIons, cooperatlon and
understandIng between the CIty and UNITED TRANSPORTATION UNION,
LOCAL 1785;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOt1S:

SECTION
1: The C1ty Council does hereby approve and
au thor 1ze
the
C1ty Manager to execute the memorandum of
understand1n3 executed by the UNITED TRANSPORTATION UNION, LOCAL
1785, a copy of which 15 attached hereto.
SECTION 2: The City Clerk shall certify to the adopt1on of
th1s Resolu bon and thenceforth and thereaf ter the same shall be
in full force and effect.
