WHERE~S, the City of Santa Monica desires to save energy
and money in heating the Municipal Pool located at Santa Monica
College; and
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA MONICA REJECTING ALL BIDS, WAIVING
FORMAL BID PROCEDURE AND AUTHORIZING DIRECT
NEGOTIATION FOR AN ENERGY SAVING INSTALLATION
FOR THE MUNICIPAL POOL AT SANTA MONICA COLLEGE

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City of Santa Monica hereby rejects
all bids received in response to the request for bids to Design
and construct a Solar water Heating system and Supply Solar Water
Heating for the Municipal Pool locaed at Santa Monica college due
to insufficient number of bids received.

SECTION 2. The City Council ~ereby determines that t~e

SECTION 3. That the City Manager is hereby authorized
to negotiate and execute an agreement for an energy saving
arrangement without further advertising for bids.
SECTION 4. The City C1erk sha1l certify to the adoption
of this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall
be in full force and effect.
