RESOLUTION NO. 6602

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA MONICA SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING DATE
FOR ANY PROTESTS OR OBJECTIONS TO THE REPORT
OF THE SUPERINTENDENT OF STREETS REGARDING
REMOVAL OF ABANDONED DRIVEWAYS.
WHEREAS, the Superlntendent of Streets has determined
that drlveways located at 170 Pler Avenue, 1414 6th Street and
702 Wilshlre Bouleva have been abandoned; and
WHEREAS, the Superlntendent of Streets has given notlce
1n the manner requ1red by Mun1cipal Code Sect10n 7403 to remove
the abandoned dr1veway aprons and to restore or install curblng,
parkway and sidewalk in conformlty with the curbing, parkway and
sidewalk adJolnlng the abandoned drlveway aprons; and
WHEREAS, following the fallure to perform the work
required
by
the
notices, the work was performed by the
Super1ntendent of Streets 1n accordance with Municlpal Code Seclon
7406; and
WHEREAS, the Superlntendent of Streets w1ll file a
report of repalr pursuant to Municipal Code Sectlon 7408,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
Pursuant to Munic1pal Code Section 7407
Code, the City Council does hereby order and declare that on the
11th day of January, 1983, at 7:30 P.M., 1n the Coune1l Chambers
of the Clty Hall, 1t w1l1 hear and pass upon the report by the
Superintendent
of Streets, together wlth any obJect1ons or
protests, lf any, which may be ralsed by any property owner llable

to be assessed for the cost of such repa1r and any other
1nterested persons.
SECTION 2.
The Super1ntendent of Streets 1S hereby
d1rected to mail notices, 1n the manner and form prescr1bed by
law, of the cost of insta11atlon or restoration and of the adopt1on
of this resolut10n to all persons own1ng real property affected by
the abandoned dr1veway replacement program, whose names and
addresses appear on the last equalized assessment roll for the
City taxes or as may be known to the City Clerk.
SECTION 3.
The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of thlS Resolut1on, and thenceforth and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
