RESOLUTION DECLARING CERTAIN WEEDS GROWING
UPON CERTAIN lANDS WITHIN THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA TO BE A PUBLIC NUISANCE
WHEREAS, there are weeds grOW1ng upon the streets,
sldewalks, and upon certa1n lots 1n the C1ty of Santa Mon1ca,
which bear seeds of a w1ngy or downy nature or attain such a large
growth as to become a f1re menace when dry and are otherW1se
nOX10US and dangerous; and
WHEREAS, there are accumulat10ns of rubb1sh, refuse, and
dirt upon certain streets, sldewalks, and lots in the City of
Santa Monlca;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That all weeds grow1ng upon the streets,
sidewalks, or upon certa1n lots 1n the C1ty of Santa Mon1ca, which
bear seeds of a wingy or downy nature or attaln such a large
growth as to become a fire menace when dry or which are otherwise
noxious or dangerous are hereby declared to be a public nuisance.
SECTION 2. That all rubb1sh, refuse, dirt accumulated
upon streets, sidewalks, or upon certain lots 1n the C1ty of Santa
Mon1ca are hereby declared to be a publlC nuisance.
