RESOLUTION NO. 6638 (CCS)
(CITY COUNCIL SERIES)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING VOTING PRECINCTS AND
POLLING PLACES, APPOINTING PRECINCT BOARD MEMBERS AND
FIXING COMPENSATION FOR THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION OF
SAID CITY ON TUESDAY, APRIL 12, 1983.
Whereas, a general munlcipal election to be held on Tuesday,
April 12, 1983, has been called by Resolutlon Number 6609(CCS) adopted on
January 11, 1983.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. For the purpose of holdlng April General Municlpal
Election, there shall be and are hereby established sixty-five voting pre-
Clncts consisting of consolidations of the regular election precincts ln
the City of Santa Monica and the Santa Monica-Malibu Unlfied School District
and Santa Monica Community College District lying outside the Clty of Santa
Monica, established for the holding of state and county elections, as said
regular election precincts exist on the date of adoption of this resolution.
The polling places for the respectlve preclncts shall be the places herein-
after designated. The persons hereinafter named, being competent and
qualifled electors and residents of said City, are hereby appointed preclnct
board members for their respective votlng preclncts and shall hold said
election and make return thereof ln the manner provided by law:

SECTION 2. The compensatlon of the persons hereinbefore named as
precinct board members is hereby fixed at the sum of $40.00 for each
Inspector and $35.00 for each Judge and Clerk for said election. The rental
for each of such polllng places where a charge is made shall be the sum of
$25.00 for sald election. When requi~ed, the compensation of the Custodian
of a building shall be $12.00 for said election.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoptlon of this
resolutlon and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be ln full force and
effect.
