A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA AUTHORIZING FILING
OF APPLICATION FOR CALIFORNIA COMMUNITY
CRIME RESISTANCE GRANT FUNDS.
WHEREAS, the Clty of Santa Monlca desires to undertake
a certaln proJect designated Communlty Crlme Resistance Program
to be funded in part from funds made avallable through State
General Funds as authorized by Chapter 1291 of the 1982 Statutes
for the Callfornla Communlty Crime Reslstance Program, adrnlnlstered
by the Offlce of Crlmlnal Justice Plannlng (hereafter referred
to as OCJP) ,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Clty Manager is authorlzed on behalf
of the Clty of Santa Monlca to submlt the attached Appllcatlon
for Grant for Law Enforcement Purposes to OCJP and is authorlzed
to execute on behalf of the Clty of Santa Monica the attached
Grant Award for law enforcement purposes lncludlng any extensions
or amendments thereof.
SECTION 2. The Clty of Santa Monlca agrees to provlde
all matchlng funds requlred for said proJect (lncluding any
extension or amendment thereof) under the Communlty Crime

Reslstance Program and the rules and regulatlons of OCJP and
that cash wlll be appropriated as requlred thereby.
SECTION 3. The grant funds recelved hereunder shall
not be used to supplant law enforcement expendltures controlled
by the Clty Councll.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoptlon of this Resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter
the same shall be ln full force and effect.
