MONICA AUTHORIZING THE ESTABLISHMENT, USE AND
INVESTMENT OF ONE OR MORE DEPOSIT ACCOUNTS WITH CERTAIN
BANKS AND SAVINGS AND LOAN ASSOCIATIONS i AUTHORIZING
FACSIMILE SIGNATURES BY LYNNE C. BARRETTE AND KAY
WATANABE; AND AUTHORIZING CERAIN OFFICERS AND EMPlLOYEES
TO ENTER SAFE DEPOSIT BOX "B" AT THE FIRST INTERSTATE

SECTION
1.
The

of Santa Monica, a municipal
corporat1on, establishes in its name one or more deposit accounts
w1th the Alliance Bank of Culver City, American C1ty Bank,
American Pac1fic State Bank, Bank of America National Trust and
Sav1ngs Assoc1ation, Bank of Beverly Hills, Bank of Mar1na Del
Rey, Brentwood Bank, Cal1forn1a F1rst Bank, California Korea
Bank, Century Bank, C1ty National Bank, Chase Manhattan Bank, New
York, New York, Crocker Nat10nal Bank; First Pacific Bank; First
Women's Bank of california; French Bank of California; Golden
State Sanwa Bank,
Imper1al Bank, ~loyds Bank of California,
Manufacturers Bank, Republic Bank, Santa Monica Bank, Security
Pacific National Bank, Sum1tomo Bank of California, Union Bank,
F1rst Interstate Bank; Wells Fargo Bank; and Western Bank of
Commerce upon such terms and conditions as are provided by the
Statutes of the State of California governing public deposits;
and that ~ynne C. Barrette, Acting Director of Finance/City

Controller, and Kay Watanabe, Clty Treasurer, be and they are
hereby authorized by establishlng such accounts.
SECTION 2. The Clty of Santa Monica, a municlpal
corporation, establlshes in its name one or more deposit accounts
with American Savlngs and ~oan Association, Beverly Hills Savings
and Loan Association, Brentwood Savings and Loan Assoclation,
Callfornla Federal Savings and Loan, Century Federal Savings and
Loan Associatlon, Coast Federal Savings and ~oan Association,
Culver Federal Savings and Loan Association, Far West Savlngs and
Loan Associatlon, First Federal Savings and Loan Association,
Gibraltar Savings and Loan Association, Glendale Federal Savings
and Loan, Great Western Savings and Loan Assoclation, Hawthorne
Savings and Loan Assoclatlon, Home Federal Savings and Loan
Associatlon, Lincoln Savings and Loan Assoclatlon, Los Angeles
Federal Savings, Marina Federal Savlngs, Pacific Federal Savings
and Loan AssoClatlon, Perpetual Savings and Loan Associatlon,
Southern California Savings and Loan Association, Southwest
Savlngs and Loan Association, State Savlngs and ~oan Associatlon,
Westdale Savings and Loan, Western Savings and Loan, and World
Savlngs and Loan Association, upon such terms and conditions as
are provlded by the Statutes of the State of Californla governlng
public depositsi and that Lynne C. Barrette, Acting Dlrector of
FinancejClty Controller, and Kay Watanabe, Clty Treasurer, be and
they are hereby authorized by establishlng such accounts.
SECTION 3. Lynne C. Barrette, Acting Director of
Finance/City Controller, and Kay Watanabe, Clty Treasurer, be and

they are hereby authorized to withdraw funds from said accounts
upon warrants and/or checks signed as prov~ded here~n with
s~gnatures duly certif1ed to said banks by the City Clerk of the
C~ty of Santa Monica, and said banks are hereby authorized to
honor and pay any and all warrants and/or checks signed,
including those drawn to the individual order or any officer or
other person authorized to sign the same.
SECTION 4. The Santa Monica offlce of the Santa Monica Bank,
First Interstate Bank, the Bank of America National Trust and
Sav1ngs Association, as des1gned depos~tories of the City,~be and
they,
1ncludlng their correspondent banks, are hereby requested,
authorized and directed to honor all checks, drafts, or other
orders for the payment of money drawn to the .lndividual order of
any person or persons whose names appear thereon as signer or
signers thereof, when bearing or purport~ng to bear the facsimile
signatures of Lynne C. Barrette and Kay Watanabe in 11eu of said

provided
that
all
previous
author~zations for the signing and honor~ng of checks drafts, or
other orders for the payment of money drawn on sa.ld banks by the
City are cont~nued in full force and effect as amplif~ed hereby.
SECTION 5. The C.lty of Santa Monica, a muncipal corporation
has rented safe depos1.t box liB" at the F.lrst Interstate Bank, and
that

wilbur, License and Permit Supervisor, or Esmeralda Kelley, be
and they are hereby authorized to enter said safe deposit box.

SECTION 6. The provisions of the Resolut~on shall be
effective immediately. Resolution Number 6533 (CCS) and other
Resoluions ~n conflict herewith are repealed.
SECTION 7. The City Clerk shall certify to the adopt1on of
this Resolut~on, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be
in full force and effect.
