A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA MONICA WAIVING FURTHER FORMAL BID
PROCEDURE AND AUTHORIZING DIRECT NEGOTIATION
FOR PURCHASE OF A HIGH PRESSURE WASH ~1ACHINE
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monica Mechanical Maintenance Depart-
ment has a requirement for a High Pressure Wash MachinA ~nd
WHEREAS, Research by Staff has determined the Hotsy Wash
Machine is best suited to satisfy the City's requirements and
WHEREAS, to the best of Staff's knowledge only one company
can supply the Hotsy Model 5832 HIgh Pressure Wash Machine
NOW THEREFORE. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council finds that the requirement
exists to purchase the High Pressure Wash Machine
SECTION 2. That further bid solicitation would cause unnecessary
expense and delay.
SECTION 3. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to excute
a purchase agreement for the Hotsy Model 832.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in
full force and effect.
