RESOLUTION NO. 6192

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION FOR 1981-82
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS UNDER THE HOUSING
AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ACT.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Monica
held public hearings to receive comments on community development
performance, to determine community development and housing needs,
and to rev~ew the draft appl~cation; and
WHEREAS, a survey of houslng conditions was conducted
in the City of Santa Monica; and
WHEREAS, a Cltizen Part~c~patlon Plan was developed
to provide c~tizens with adequate information concerning the
amount of funds available for proposed community development and
housing activities, the range of activ1ties that may be under-
taken and other ~portant requirements; and
WHEREAS, citizens were provlded an adequate opportunity
to part1cipate in the development of the application and in the
development of any revlsions, changes or amendments; and
WHEREAS, on January 27, 1981, the City Council
approved a flnal app1icat~on for submission to State and local
clearinghouses in comp11ance with OMB Circular A-95 clearing-
house requirements and approval of certifications required with
the applicatlon.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of
Santa Monica possesses legal authority to apply for the grant
and to execute the proposed program.
SECTION 2. That the City Council authorlzes the
flllng of the application, including all understandings and
assurances contained therein.
SECTION 3. That the City Council designates the Clty
Manager as the authorized representatlve of the City of Santa
Monica to act in connectlon with the application and to provlde
such additional information as may be required.
SECTION 4. The Clty Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this resolutlon, and thenceforth and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
