A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA WAIVING FURTHER FORMAL BID PRO-
CEDURE AND AUTHORIZING DIRECT NEGOTIATION FOR
PURCHASE OF WATER DISTRIBUTION PARTS AND
SUPPLIES
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monica Water Department
has a requirement for Water Distribution Parts and Supplies
WHEREAS. only one (1) Source, can supply City's requriements.
WHEREAS. to the best of Staff's knowledge only one company
can supply equipment necessary to be compatible with existing
equipment in the City Water Department.
NOW THEREFORE. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1 That the City Council finds that the requirement
exists to purchase the Water Distribution Parts & Supplies
SECTION 2. That further bid solicitation would cause un-
necessary expense and delay_
SECTION 3. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to
excute a purchase agreement for the equipment.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be
in full force and effect
