RESOLUTION NO. 6205

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA ESTABLISHING A CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT
SERVICE CHARGE FOR WATER SERVICE SUPPLIED BY THE
SANTA MONICA WATER DIVISION
WHEREAS, the City Council may establish, amend, or revise from
time to time by resolution, the rates and service charges to he charged for
supplying water service to any consumer, pursuant to Section 7200 of the
Santa Monica Municlpal Code; and
WHEREAS, the Water Division has conducted a study of funds needed
for adequately supporting the Water Division expenditures; and
WHEREAS, said study indicates a need for and proposes the estab-
lishment of a water capital improvement service charge;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: Capital Improvement Service Charg~. The bi-monthly
service charge for capital improvements is hereby established at the following
rates:
Single Family Unit $3.50
Multiple Family Unit/per unit $2.00
Commercial/Industrial $O.0039065/sq.ft.
SECTION 2: Applicability. The provision herein shall be
applicable to all water service by the City of Santa Monica Water Division
except as otherwise provided in Article VII, Chapter 2 of the Santa Monica
Municipal Code.

SECTION 3: This resolution shall take effect upon its adoption,
or upon its administratlve implementation, whichever last occurs.
SECTION 4: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force
and effect.
