A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA WAIVING FURTHER FO~~L BID PRO-
CEDURE AND AUTHORIZING DIRECT NEGOTIATION FOR
PURCHASE OF AN AERIAL LADDER TRUCK.
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monica Fire Department has
a requirement for an Aerial Ladder Truck
WHEREAS, the City of Redondo Beach has a used Aerial Ladder
Truck which will be sold at Auction
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council finds that the requirement
exists to purchase an Aeria1 Ladder Truck
SECTION 2. That further bid solicitation would cause un-
necessary expense and delay.
SECTION 3. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to sub-
mit a bid for the equipment for at least $30,000.00
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be
in full force and effect.
