CITY COUNCIL SERIES
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA WAIVING FURTHER FORMAL BID PRO-
CEDURES AND AUTHORIZING DIRECT NEGOTIATION FOR
PURCHASE OF RADIO CONTROL CONSOLE.
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monica Fire Department
has a requirement for a Radio Control Console
WHEREAS, only one (1) Source can provide the necessary
equipment.
WHEREAS, to the best of Staff's knowledge only one
company can supply equipment necessary to be compatible with
existing equipment in the Police Department.
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council finds that the requirement
exists to purchase the Radio Control Console.
SECTION 2. That further bid solicitation would cause un-
necessary expense and delay.
SECTION 3. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to
excute a purchase agreement for the equipment.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the ado~tion
of this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall
be in full force and effect.
