A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA COMMENDING PERRY SCOTT FOR HIS DEDICATED AND
DISTINGUISHED SERVICE TO THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA

WHEREAS. PERRY SCOTT, since 1977 has served the citlzens of

Santa Monlca ably and conscientiously as a member of the Clty Council. and
WHEREAS, PERRY SCOTT, during the years 1964 through 1973
served the ci tl zens of Santa Mom ca as Ci ty Manager, and
WHEREAS. PERRY SCOTT. during his term as Councilmember, has
applied a common-sense buslness approach to the fiscal policies of the
City which has contributed substantially to the sound financial condition
of the City of Santa Monica, and
WHEREAS, PERRY SCOTT served as Councilmember with integrity,
staunch independence, and sharp wit, and
WHEREAS, PERRY SCOTT has chosen not to seek reelectlon and is
retirlng from public office;
NOW. THEREFORE, the City Councll of the City of Santa Monica
does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. PERRY SCOTT is h~eby commended for his faithful
service and helpful contributions to the City of Santa Monlca and its
citlZens.
SECTION 2. The City Counel1 of the City of Santa Monica, on
behalf of lts members and on behalf af the citizens of this community,
expresses its sincere appreciation to PERRY SCOTT for his dedlcated
community Service.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk is directed to send a certlfled copy
of this resolution to PERRY SCOTT.
