CITY COUNCIL SERIES
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF A REAPPLICATION WITH THE LOS ANGELES
COUNTY AREA AGENCY ON AGING FOR A NUTRITION PROGRAM FOR THE
ELDERLY UNDER TITLE III OF THE OLDER AMERICANS ACT OF 1965,
AS AMENDED.
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Mon1ca has been invited to submit an
app11cat1on for a nutrltion program for the elderly by the Los Angeles
County Area Agency on Aging; and

WHEREAS, the C1ty of Santa Mon1ca 1S eligible to receive funds under
the Older Americans Act for the continuation of a nutrition progra~ for
the elderly.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to file an
application and to execute any contracts or subsequent amendments related
· thereto, on behalf of theCity of Santa Monlca wlth the Los Angeles County
Area Agency on Aging for One Hundred Thirty-Two Thousand, Seven Hundred and
Thirty-Three ($132,733) Dollars to be used for a nutrition program for the
elderly located at three (3) C1ty park sites and one slte (1) at Calvary
Baptist Church, 1502 20th Street, Santa Monica.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolutlon, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force
and effect.
