A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIm CITY OF
SANTA MONICA WAIVING FURTHER FORMAL BID PRO-
CEDURE AND AUTHORIZING DIRECT NEGOTIATION FOR
PURCHASE OF MODIFICATIONS OF BUSES.
vnfEREAS, certain modifications of buses ordered by Purchase
Order 42760 on January 8t 1980 pursuant to Council authorization
would be of benefit to the City and,
1VHEREAS, in order to effect the procure~ent of these mod-
ifications, staff has determined that a net increase to the
contract in the amount of $33,025.25 including applicable taxes
would be required,
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Staff is hereby authorized to increase Purchase
Order Number 42760 by an amount not to exceed $33,025.25 to cover
modificat~ons on IS buses.
SECTION 2. That bid solicitation is not required pursuant
to Municipal Code Section 2506A(1).
SECTION 3. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to
excute a purchase agreement for the modifications of buses.
SECTION 4. The City clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolutiont and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall
be in full force and effect.
