RESOLUTION NO. 6260
CITY COUNCIL SERIES
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL Of THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DECLARING AND DETERMINING THAT THE INSTALLATION
OF THE FIRE ALARM SYSTEM IN THE POLICE JAIL MAY BE
PURCHASED MORE FAVORABLY IN THE OPEN MARKET.
WHEREAS, the State Fire Marshall has required the City to install a
fire alarm system 1n the Police Jall; and
WHEREAS, formal blds for the installatlon were solicited from eight
organlzat1ons In December, 1980; and
WHEREAS, no bids were received on the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The the City Counc1l finds that the requirement exists to
lnstall a Ja1l fire alarm system.
SECTION 2. That a determlnation lS hereby made that the installation
of the f1re alarm system 1n the pollee jail may be purchased more favorably
in the open market.
SECTION 3. That the City Engineer is hereby authorized to execute a
change order for the installat10n of the fire alarm system.
SECTION 4. That the Clty Clerk shall certlfy to the adoption of this
resolutlon and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force
and effect.
