RESOLUTION NO. 6282

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA MONICA APPROVING AND RATIFYING A
MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY
OF SANTA MONICA AND THE SOCIETY OF PUBLIC
ATTORNEYS OF SANTA MONICA
WHEREAS, Section 2.06 of Ordinance 80l (CeS) of the C1ty of
Santa Monica requires the preparation of a written memorandum of
understanding between the administration and recognized employee
organizations if an agreement can be reached; and
WHEREAS, Section 2.06 of Ordinance 801 (CCS) of the City of
Santa Monica further provides that any such memorandum of
understanding shall not be binding untIl presented to the
govern1ng body for determination; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of this memorandum of understanding is
to promote and provide harmonious relations, cooperat1on and
understanding between the eity and the members of the Society of
Public Attorneys of Santa Monica,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby approve and ratify
the memorandum of understanding executed by the City Manager and
the representative of the Society of Pub11c Attorneys of Santa
Monica, a copy of which is attached hereto.

SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be
in full force and effect.
