A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SA!{TA MONICA WAIVING FURTHER FO&~ BID PRO-
CEDURE AND AUTHORIZING DIRECT NEGOTIATION FOR
PURCHASE OF LINCOLN OIL METER DISPENSERS
\~REAS, the City of Santa Monica Transportation Department
has a requirement for Lincoln Oil Meter Dispensers.
WHEREAS, To the best of Staff's knowledge only one company
(Lincoln Engineering Co.) can supply equipment necessary to be
compatible with existing equipment in the Transportation Departoent,
thereby qualifying procurement of this requirement under Section
2506A of the Santa Monica Hunicipal Code.
NOl{ THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council finds that the requirement
exists to purchase the Lincoln Oil t1eter Dispensers.
SECTION 2. To advertise for Bid would be of no avail and
would cause unnecessary expense and delay.
SECTION 3. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to
execute a purchase agreement for the equipment.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall
be in full force and effect.
