A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY com~CIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA WAIVING FURTHER Fom'~L BID PRO-
CEDURE AND AUTHORIZING DIRECT NEGOTIATION FOR
PURCHASE OF WATER ANALYSIS SERVICE
WHEREASt the City of Santa Monica Water Enterprise Division
has a requirement for organic water analysis
WHEREAS, to the best of Staff's knowledge only one company
can supply services necessary to be compatible with existing equipment in
the Water Enterprise Division.
NOW THEREFOREt THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council finds that the requirement
exists to purchase the water analysis service
SECTION 2. That to advertise for bids would be to no avail and
would cause unnecessary expense and delay.
SECTION 3. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute
a purchase agreement for the equipment.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this reso1utiont and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be
in full force and effect.
