CITY COUNCIL SERIES
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA AUTHORIZING DIRECT NEGOTIATION FOR
PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT LEASE RENEWAL
\{HEREAS, the City of Santa Monica Police Departnent has
a requirement for an Equipment Lease Renewal for the automated
wants and warrants system.
WHEREAS, only one (1) Source, Harris Data, Inc. can fulfill
the City's requirements.
\iHEREAS, to the best of Staff's knowledge only one company
can supply equipment necessary to be compatible with existing
equipment in the Police Department, thereby qualifying procurement
of this requirement under Section 2506A of the Santa Monica tlunicipal
Code.
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF Sh~TA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council finds that the requirement
exists to renew the existing equipment lease.
SECTION 2. That the City Hanager is hereby authorized to
execute a purchase agreement for the Equipment Lease Renewal
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall
be in full force and effect.
