A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA MONICA REVISING THE BASIC RATE AND
SERVICE CHARGES FOR WATER SERVICE SUPPLIED
BY THE SANTA MONICA WATER DIVISION
WHEREAS, the City Council may establish, amend or revise from time
to time by resolution the rate and service charges to be charged for
supplying water service to any consumer, pursuant to Section 7200 of the
Santa Monlca Municlpal Code; and,
WHEREAS, the Water Dlvision has conducted a study of water rates and
service charges for the purpose of adequately supportlng Water Divlsion
expenditures, and,
WHEREAS, sald study lndlcates a need for and proposes water rate
and serVlce charge lncrease:
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Water Rate. The bi-monthly base rate is hereby established
at flfty-four ($.54) cents per one hundred (lOa) CUblC feet of water used,
plus thirteen ($.13) cents per one hundred (100) cubic feet of water used
for Power and Imported Water Adjustment.
SECTION 2. Service Charge. The bi-monthly service charge for domes-
tic service is hereby established at the following rates:

SECTION 3. Capital Improvement Service Charge. The bi-monthly
capital 1mprovement service charge lS hereby establ1shed at the following
rates:

SECTION 4. Applicability. The water rate and service chargesestablished

by this Resolution shall be applicable to all water service by the City
of Santa Monica Water Division except as otherv/ise provided in Article VII,
Chapter 2 of the Santa Monica Municipal Code.
SECTION 5. The water rate and service charges established by this
Resolution shall take effect upon administrative implementation.
SECTION 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full
force and effect.
