A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA INCREASING THE PARKING METER BAG
USAGE FEE.
WHEREAS, the existing fee for the use of parking meter bags does not offset
the revenue generated by the parking meters and the inconvenience to the public
due to a reduction in the number of available on-street parking spaces.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council authorize a charge of four (4) dollars
per mete~ per day for the use of parking meter bags.
SECTION 2. That any person or group wishing exemption from the charges in
this resolution may make application through the Parking and Traffic Engineer
for such exemptions to be approved by the City Council.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolutlon~
and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
