A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA UONICA '-lAIVING FURTHER FORi'1AL BID PRO-
CEDURE AND AUTHORIZING DIRECT NEGOTIATION FOR
PURCHASE OF WORD PROCESSING EQUIPMENT.
'iHEREAS, the City of Santa Monica Data Processing Department
has a requirement for Word Processing Dequipment.
'nIEREAS, to the best of Staff's knowledge only one company
can supply equipment necessary to be compatible with existing
equipQent in the Data Processing Department.
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council finds that the requirement
exists to purchase the Word Processing equipment.
SECTION 2. This is a Proprietary or Sole Source procurement
under Section 2506A of the Santa Honica Hunicipal Code.
SECTION 3. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to
execute a pruchase agreement for the equipment.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall
be in full force and effect.
