A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA HONICA WAIVING FURTHER FORlIAL BID PRO-
CEDURE AND AUTHORIZING DIRECT NEGOTIATION FOR
PURCHASE OF AN ENGINE TESTER
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Honica Hechanical Naintenance
Department has a requirement for an Engine Tester.
WHEREAS, to the best of Staff's knowledge only one company
can supply equipment necessary to fulfill the requirements of
the Mechanical Maintenance Department.
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES P~SOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council finds that the requirement
exists to purchase the Engine Tune-Up Tester.
SECTION 2. That to subnit bids would be of no avail and
would cause unnecessary expense and delay, thus making this a
Proprietary or Sole Source procurement under Section 2506A of the
Santa Honica Hunicipal Code.
SECTION 3. That the City Hanager is hereby authorized to
execute a purchase agreement for the equipment.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be
in full force and effect.
