A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA AUTHORIZING THE FILING
OF AN APPLICATION WITH THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY
AREA AGENCY ON AGING FOR AN AMENDMENT TO THE
NUTRITION PROGR&~ FOR THE ELDERLY UNDER
TITLE III OF THE OLDER AMERICANS ACT OF 1965,
AS AMENDED.
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monica has submitted an appli-
cation for amendment of the Nutrition Program for the elderly to
the Los Angeles County Area Agency on Aging; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monica is eligible to receive
funds under the Older Americans Act for the establishment of a
Nutrition Program for the elderly; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monica has received approval
from the Los Angeles County Area Agency on Aging to administer
the additional one time only funds in the amount of Three Thousand.
Four Hundred, Forty-Five ($3,445) Dollars as an amendment to the
existing contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That the City Manager, or in his absence, the
Assistant City Manager, is authorized to file an application and to
execute any contracts related thereto, on behalf of the City of
Santa Monica with the Los Angeles County Area Agency on Aging for
One Hundred Thirty-Six Thousand, One Hundred Seventy-Eight ($136,178)
Dollars to be used for a Nutrition Program for the elderly.

SECTION 2.
The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter
the same shall be in full force and effect.
