A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA MONICA CONFIRMING THE REPORT OF THE
SUPERINTENDENT OF STREETS REGARDING REPAIRS TO
DA!vIAGED SIDm~ALKS, DRIVEHAYS AND CURBS (SR-82-27)
WHEREAS, the Street Superintendent of the C1ty of
Se ta lIon1ca, pursuant to Sect10n 5600 to 5630 of the Streets and
Hl hways Code, commenced proceed~ngs to cause the repa1r of
damaged s1dewalks, dr1veways and curbs in the City of Santa
r>ionlca; and
\JHEREAS, Sixty days after said order was served, the
work had not been completed by the owners or persons in possesSion
of the affected properties, and the Superintendent of Streets
caused the work to be done; and
\lHEREAS, the Superlntenden~ of Streets gave the notice
rE lulred by Section 5616 of Lhe Streets and Highways Code; and
\JHEREAS, the Superintendent of Streets dld file with the
C- _y CounCll of the City of Santa Monica hiS report of repalrs and
Ct >~ as required by Section 5617 of the Streets and Hlghways Code;
and
WHEREAS, upon the day and hour fixed for hearing by
Resolut~on Number 6467 (CCS), the City Council of the City of
Santa Monlca heard and passed upon the report of the
51 zp~lntendent of Streets together with all obJections and
p ~tests as required by Section 5618 of the Streets and Hlghways
Clde;

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNClL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
sectlon 1. That the report of the Superlntendent of
Streets heretofore flIed and above-descrlbed be and the same lS
her-by conflrmed.
SECTION 2. That all protests and Ob)ectlons of every
klr and nature to the report of the Superlntendent of Streets be
ane the same are hereby overruled and denled.
SECTION 3. That the cost of the repalrs, as set forth
In the report of the Superlntendent of Streets, shall be assessed
agalnst the propertles thereln descrlbed, WhlCh propertles front
upon the sldewalk upon WhlCh the repalrs were made.
SECTION 4. That lf such assessment lS not paid wlthln
the tlme permltted by law, the same shall constitute a speclal
assessment agalnst and llen on ~he propertles there1n described,

SEC7ION 5. That lf the assessment lS not pald wlthln

shall dellver a Notlce of Llen, prepared ln the manner requlred by
Sectlon 5626 of the Streets and Hlghways Code, to the County
Audltor who shall collect the assessment together wlth all other

SECTION 6. That the Clty Clerk shall certlfy to the
adoptlon of thlS resolutlon and thenceforth and thereafter the
same shall be ln full force and effect.
