A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT
TO THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
BETtiEEN THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA AND
THE }~NAGEMENT TEAM ASSOCIATES
~~EREAS, it is the mutual desire of the City and the
Management Team Associates to amend the Memorandum of Under-
stand~ng entered into on March 5, 1982.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
HONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOl.JS.
Section 1. The City Council does hereby approve and
authorize the City Manager to execute the amendment to the
memorandum of understanding executed by the representative
of the Management Team Associates, a copy of which is attached
hereto.
Section 2: The City Clerk shall cert~fy to the adoption
of this Resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall
be in full force and effect

AGREEMENT AHENDING
MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
THIS AGREEMENT entered into this 16th day of June
1982, by and between the CITY OF SANTA MONICA, a municipal
corporation (hereinafter "City"), and the Hanagement Team
Associates (hereinafter "NTA"), is made lvith reference to the
following'

A. The City and MTA entered into a memorandum of under-
standing in March 1981, entitled "Hemorandu!!l. of Understanding
Betwe~n City of Santa Monica and Manage~ent Tean Associates
(MTA)" (hereinafter "Memorandum of UnderstandingH).
B. It is the mutual desire of City and MTA to amend
Section 20, "Paid Holidays" of the Hemorandum of Understanding.
NOW, THEP~FORE, it is mutually agreed by and between the
City and MTA as follows'
1. On and after April 28, 1982, Section 20, llPaid Holidays"
is amended to read as follows:
There shall be 12 paid holidays for permanent em-
ployees covered herein. These holidays shall be:
New Year's Day - January 1
Dr. Martin Luther King's Birthday - January 15
Lincoln's Birthday - February 12
Hashington's Birthday - Third Honday in February
Memorial Day - Last Monday in May
Independence Day - July 4
Labor Day - First Monday in Septe~ber
Thanksgiving Day - Fourth Thursday in November

The Friday Following Thanksgiving Day
The Half Day Immediately Before Christmas Day
Christmas Day - December 25
The Half Day Immediately Before New Year's Day
One Floating Holiday
All Other Holidays Declared by the City Council
Employees in department or divisions observing
different holiday schedules shall, in lieu of
holidays listed above. receive holidays enjoy-
ed by other operating employees in that depart-
ment or division, provided however, that the
same number of holidays (12 days) shall be ob-
served.
Whenever any day listed herein as a paid holiday
falls upon the first or second day off of any
employee who has two (2) consecutive days off,
the day preceding shall be deemed the holiday if
it falls on the first day off, and the day follow-
ing shall be deemed the holiday if it falls on
the second day off in lieu of the day listed.
lihenever any day listed herein as a paid holiday
falls upon any day of an employee who does not
have two (2) consecutive days off, the following
day shall be deemed the holiday for such employees.
Time worked on an authorized paid holiday, shall
be compensated at straight time at the hourly rate
equi valent to the monthly salary plus the regular
holiday pay
2. Except as expressly modified herein, all other terms and
covenants set forth in the Memorandum of Understanding shall re-
main the same and shall be in full force and effect.
