RESOLUTION NO. 6545 (ecs)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA MONICA APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR
BICYCLE AND PEDESTRIAN FUNDS AUTHORIZED UNDER
58 821
WHEREAS, 5B821 provides that 2% of each Countyts total local
Transportation Fund De annually set aside and used to fund t~e development
of bicycle and pedestrian facilities; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monica has planned a hikeway system in
conformance with specifications of Caltrans Planning and Design Criterla
for Bikeways in Callfornia and the Regional Transportatlon plan~ and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monica desires to improve Dlcycle and
pedestrian facilities within the City utilizing the funds available under
5B821.
NOW, THEREfORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. To apply for all funds avaflaule to the City of Santa
Monica allocated for Bikeways and Pedestrian facillties (Sff821}.
SECTIDN 2. To authorize the City Manager as the Cftyls authorized
signature and designated contact person.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter tne same shall be in full force
and effect.
