A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
WAIVING FURTHER FORMAL BID PROCEDURE AND AUTHORIZING DIRECT
NEGOTIATION FOR PURCHASE OF TWO USED AUTOMOBILES FOR THE
FIRE DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS~ ForMal Bld No. 1773 for two used autoMobiles for the
FIre ServIce produced no respon~es~ and
WHEREAS~ to further adv~rtlze for forMal bids would cause
unnecessary expense and delay and would be of no avall~ and
WHEREAS, the Flre Service has need of the two autoMobIles.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECT10N 1. That forMal bIdding is hereby wal~ed for the
purchase of two used FIre serVIce vehIcles SInce further forMal bid
procedures would be of no avaIl and would cause unnecessary expense
and delay.
SECTION 2. The Clty Manaqer is hereby authorized to negotIate
on the open Market to execute a purchase order ~or the procureKent
of two u~ed autoMoblles for the Fire serYlce.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certlfy to the adoption OT
thiS Resolutlon, and thenceforth and th~reafter the saMe shall be
10 full force and effect.
