CITY COUNCIL SERIES
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA WAIVING FORMAL BIDDING PROCEDURES
AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY ~ffiNGER TO PURCHASE ON
THE OPEN }1ARKET ONE TREE STUMP CUTTER
WHEREAS, there is only one firm known which can supply the
st~p cutter and,
WHEREAS. Section 2506A(l) exempts this procurement from the
bidding process.
NOW THEREFORE. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby resolves to waive formal
bidding process for the procurement of one new tree stump cutter.
SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute
a negotiated contract on the open market for the procurement of
the stump cutter.
SECTION 3. The C1ty Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall
be in full force and effect.
