A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA WAIVING FORMAL BIDDING PROCEDURES
AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY UANAGER TO PURCHASE A
GRAPHICS TERMINAL AND RELATED EQUIPHENT FROH
HEliLETT-PACKARD COMPANY.
WHEREAS, there is only one firm known which can supply the
needed graphics terminal and related equipment, and
WHEREAS, Section 2506A(1) exempts this procurement from the
bidding process.
Nm-J THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA 110NICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby resolves to waive formal
bidding process for the procurement of a Hewlett-Packard Graphics
Terminal and related equipment.
SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute
a negotiated contract on the open market for the procurement of
the terminal and equipment.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of th~s resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall
be in full force and effect.
