A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
ESTABLISHING INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS
FOR OWNERS AND OPERATO~S OF AIRCRAFT
BASED AT SANT~ ~ONICA AIRPORT
PURSUANT TO SECTION 10103 of the SMMC.
WHEREAS~ Section 10103 of the Santa ~onica ~unlcipal Code sets
forth 1ndeMn1fication requ1reMents for owners and operators of aircraft
based at Santa Monica Airoort; and
WHEREAS, Santa ~on1ca Municioal Sectlon Code Sect10n 10103 allows
the City Counc1l to establlsh 1nsurance require~ents for owners and ooerators
of a1rcraft based at Santa Monica A1rport by resolution,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. All a1rcraft owners and ODerators shall be covered
at thelr expense by public llablllty lnsurance in the a~ounts of $1,000,000
Co~blned Sinqle Limit, exclud1nq bod1ly 1njury to passenqers 1n the aircraft~
plus $50,000 bodily lnJury coverage per passenqer seat, for one lnCldent
1ncurred as a result of operating thelr aircraft.
Sect10n 2. The City Clerk shall cert1fy to the adoptlon of this
resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be-in yul1 force and effect.
