A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MONtCA OPPOSIN~ THE LOCATION
OF A LIQUID NATURAL GAS TERMINAL A~ POINT
CONCEPTION

SECTION 1. Resolution No. 5055 fecs) ur~~~g t\1e State
Public utilities Commission to locate a Liquid Natural Gas
Terminal at Point Conception is hereby rescinded and repealed.
SECTION 2. Because of the environmental risks associated
with the project and the historical and religious significance
of the site to Native Americans, the C1ty Council of the City of
Santa Monica o?poses the construction of the Liquid Natural Gas
Terminal at Point Conception.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be
1n full force and effect.
