A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA ESTABLISHING
DOG LICENSE FEES AND PROVIDING FOR
THE WAIVER THEREOF
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION l. Except as provided ~n Section 2 of this
Resolution, there shall be an annual dog license fee for all
persons harboring dogs within the City of Santa Monica in the
amount of $ 5.00 for every neutered male or spayed female dog
and $ 10.00 for every unneutered male or unspayed female dog,
which fee shall be paid to the City Clerk, License Division,
at the time and in the manner prov~ded by Section 4116 of the
Santa Monica Municipal Code.
SECTION 2. The $ 5.00 fee prescribed by Section I of
this Resolutlon for neutered male and spayed female dogs
shall be waived with respect to such dogs harbored by any
sen~or citizen. For purposes of this section "sen~or citi-
zen" means any resident of the City of Santa Monica who is 62
years of age or older.

SECTION 3. The fees established by this Resolution
shall be effective on the effective date of Ordinance Number
l226 (CCS).
SECTION 4. The C1ty Clerk shall certify to he adoption
of this Resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same
shall be in full force and effect.
