A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA ADOPTING
THE SANTA MONICA MINORITY BUSINESS
ENTERPRISE PROGRAM
WHEREAS,
recent
changes
in
Federal
Rules and
Regulations require the City of Santa Monica to adopt a Minority
Business Enterprise Program in order to be eligible to receive
financial assistance; and
WHEREAS, the continuing receipt of Federal funds is
essential for current and future expenditures of the City of
Santa Monica; and
WHEREAS,
the
participation
in Federally-assisted
projects by minority or female owned businesses is encouraged by
policies incorporated in the Santa Monica Minority Business
Enterprise Program,

NOW~ THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
To adopt the Santa Monica Minority Business
Enterprise Program attached hereto and incorporated by reference.
SECTION 2. To direct the City Manager to submit the Santa
Monica
Minority Business Enterprise Program to appropriate
Federal agencies for their approval.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be
in force and effect.
